Colloid Mill

Multi Mill

The Colloid Mill comprises of two heavy duty steel discs construction with minor clearance between them. Material is allowed to pass through this gap where this material gets resized or sheared as per requirement of customer. These machines are widely used for colloidal dispersion, suspension, emulsion and ointments. These mills are used for dry milling fibrous heat sensitive materials passes through rotor and stator assembly. It acts as a perfect homogenizer cum emulsifier. A high speed rotor that rotates up to 3000 rpm as per requirement shears the material and disrupts it to smaller droplets of 1 micron. This process is completely controlled by operator and material gets resized with this high speed rotor and conical shaped stator. The gap setting is provided as per customers’ requirement to acquire perfect size of material.

  • Suitable for processing and production of sterile material and various industrial products. Colloid Mills are utilized to reduce particle size of a solid in suspension in a liquid or to reduce the droplet size of a liquid suspended in another requisite liquid
  • Such high class mills are available in water jacketed model or plane model as per customers’ requirements
  • Rich performance in its class as special care has been taken while manufacturing these machines. Utilization of high grade raw materials and strict quality checks by expert technical team before dispatch makes these machine more versatile in same segment
  • Adjustable frictional forces between rotor and conical stator by linear adjustment of narrow gap (from 0.0002 to 0.0003 inches) which offers excellent performance. There is always a material film formation between stator and rotor which avoid the direct contact of both stator and rotor
  • These mills offer continuous production process and processed material leaves the mill through drain pipe which can be feed to hopper if required
  • These mills have less vibration due to utilization embedded technology during spares fabrication. A closed sealing of each individual spares offer noiseless operation which is necessary to maintain industrial health
  • Inlet hopper is made of high class stainless steel material which is internally coated and free from rust formation due to humid material
